profile.jpegJordan Rice
Jordan L. Rice is a Christ follower, husband to Jessica, daddy to Jameson, native New Yorker, attorney, widower, hopeless Knicks fan and church planter. In 2000, Jordan became a follower of Christ while in college, began teaching a Bible study, and shortly thereafter discovered a desire to pursue ministry.  Notwithstanding that desire, Jordan completed law school, and after finding himself unable to satiate his aspiration for ministry, enrolled in Seminary.
Jordan has practiced law in New York for six years, specializing in juvenile delinquency and other child-related family court matters.  While practicing law, Jordan remained active in ministry and served as youth pastor at the church he attended as a child.  Additionally, to complete his required clinical pastoral education for seminary, Jordan served as a chaplain at Sing-Sing prison, teaching a weekly Bible study and preaching in Sunday morning gatherings.

In June of 2010, at the recommendation of a friend from seminary, Jordan began attending a Church Plant in New York City in preparation to plant a Church in Harlem, New York.
Along with the aid of the Holy Spirit, his wife Jessica, and a diverse group of committed adults, Jordan launched Renaissance Church on September 21, 2014.  They are committed to being a church for people that are the furthest away from the gospel, contributing to the rich and beautiful tradition of gospel centered churches in Harlem.
